Emma's sick.
Her nose has been running like crazy since last week.
When I got home last night, she felt a little warm.
I checked her temp and it was 100.2 F.
Three hours later, it was 102.6 F.
That second time I checked, she was already zonked out.
I went to the bathroom and wet her little towel.
Put a bit of alcohol on it, then placed it on her forehead.
[Why? I don't have the scientific reason to back-up that action.
I just know that I have seen my Mom and Lola do it all the
time when someone has a fever. She's lucky I didn't make her
take a "Datu Puti" bath.]
Ten minutes later she woke up and she removed the towel.
I tried putting it back and she kept on saying "no."
We went back and forth for a few minutes.
Then she got up to use the potty.
While she was doing her business, I was explaining to her
why I need to put the wet towel over her forehead.
This is what she said,
"No. I don't want that on my head. You don't put things like that on people's head!
You just don't!"
Then she pulled her jammies up and walked off.
