I Want Candy..NOT

We survived Emma’s first Trick or Treat adventure.
Trying to hide the candies from her was a bit tough,
she was just really too smart now to be fooled.

After removing the following treats -

Reese’s Cups
3 Musketeers
Kisses Almonds
Milky Way
Atomic Fireball
Bubble Yum

Jay and I decided to let her try what was left in the Jack-O-Lantern bucket.
We were very surprised and happy with the result.

Emma’s little taste test went like this –

Emma: [grabbing the bucket of Dum Dums] I’m gonna eat it!

Unwraps the brown lollipop and licked it.
Emma: Mmmmm chocolate! I like it.
Licks the Dum-Dum again.
Emma: Mommy, I don’t want it!
Me: Put it in the kitchen trash.

Emma runs to the kitchen.
Back in the bedroom, she pulls out another Dum-dum.

Emma: Pink! I love pink!
Licks the pink Dum-Dum.
Emma: I don’t want it!
Runs to the kitchen to dumps the pink Dum-Dum.

Then she tried the blue, yellow, green, etc.
Every color she pulls out, she takes a lick and then she dumps it.

She did the same thing with the Tootsie Roll and the Twizzlers.
She took a bite and then she spits them back out.

Oh yeah, life is good!
