Since March 7 is Oscar's night, Emma's YMCA after-school program is doing a Hollywood party on Friday. So last night Emma told me who she'll dress up as on Friday.
Emma: Mom, I'm going to dress up as Selena Gomez on Friday!
Me: Huh? Why? How are you going to dress up as her?
Emma: Well...I'll use my own hair, since we have the same color. Then [pause]...Mom can I wear my black sweater?
Me: Sure. What are you going to wear with the sweater?
Emma: Do I have a black skirt? I can wear a black skirt...Mom can we find me a black skirt once we get to Target?
Me: I guess you can.
Jay (to Emma): Thank God you didn't pick HANNAH MONTANA!
