Last June 6 was the first time it really rained in LexKy. It was 2 months of just heat and sunshine, and the roses were burning! When it did finally rain, it was INTENSE!
How intense? Tornado warnings were issued left and right, AND it started hailing...IN JUNE!
When we got home that evening, there were remnants of that t-storm/hale in the front yard. That picture was just one area that has not completely melted.
We got lucky because those were tiny compared to what the other counties got that day. Some were as big as golf balls!
It would have been nice to see those, but we are still thankful we missed the golf ball size hale and tornado.
