1. The convenience
- 24/7 subway
the nearest stop from our apartment is only a 10 min walk;
- the bodega (mini-grocery store) across our apartment;
- the CVS store around the corner from where we live;
- the grocery store (U-Mart) 2 blocks from the apartment;
- the fresh bagel from Bagel Mania;
- the Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, Italian, and American eateries
that delivers 7 days a week, and as late as 11 PM;
- pizza from De Donna’s and Mama Carmela;
- our close proximity to the airports (LGA and JFK), Amtrak
and Greyhound Bus stations;
2. Marble Collegiate Church
- My mom is pretty much aghast when she found out that Marble is NOT a catholic church, but we love it there. The church really feels like that you belong to a community.
Hmmm okay, that’s about it. I guess there are only TWO things that I will really miss.
I wanted to include Broadway shows, shopping, bars (especially where I work), and restaurants (that ranges from cheap eats to $$$$), but ever since Emma was born we really have no time or money to appreciate all that.
Coming soon: What I will NOT miss about living in NYC
