It's for real...

The day after I turned in my resignation letter,
I called out sick - for 2 days.
Not that me being sick is related to the fact
that I have made leaving official,
but it was just because my cousin Ghie
arrived that Thursday morning.

Anyway, it is official and it is very real.
We have exactly 28 days left in NYC.
28 days, minus the 4 days we will be spending in MD celebrating Christmas.
Okay, so that’s technically just…24 days!

24 days to pack away 4 years of our life here in NY.
24 days to clean out the closets, patch the walls,
remove milk stains from the floor, throw or
give away furniture we no longer need.

24 days…

Seeing all the boxes piled up in the foyer,
and the rest of the things that we still need to pack...
I just have to ask myself -
How did we manage to accumulate
so much crap in such a short time?
